I'm not really looking for serious reviews on this one; it's just for fun!
--Inspired by true events--
My homework?
Oh.
I, um,
I don't have it.
Well, yes, I suppose I did know
it was due today.
This really is unfortunate.
Because, as I'm sure you know,
Ms. Green,
I always turn my work in on time.
In fact I have a 97 in this class.
And an unquenchable love
for pre-calculus.
And a zero would really,
really hurt my heart.
And my report card.
Oh, but I did do the work.
Yes ma'am,
I went right home and did it.
Every last problem.
Took me half the night,
but I said to myself,
"You are strong.
You are not a quitter.
You always finish your homework."
And I finished that homework,
Ms. Green.
Well, that's not the whole story;
no, of course not.
You see, my homework
was in my locker this morning.
And I was on my to get it
before this class.
But then something happened.
Someone took my arm.
It was a boy.
A very handsome boy.
In fact it was the boy I like.
And so he started talking to me--
and walking--past my locker--
and pulling me with him--
and, well, what could I do?
He walked me all the way here.
To this class.
And then the bell rang.
It was too late!
Too late to go get my homework.
And that is the sad,
sad story.
Ms. Green,
I really do believe fate hates me.
Bring it after school?
Oh . . . well . . .
Well, uh,
I didn't want to say this,
but I think someone
may have stolen it.
You see,
there was this really suspicious-looking guy
hanging around my locker this morning. . . .

I like the meaning it has. In the first part I was sort of lost. but I gathered the meaning.

hahahaha lol XD nice work!!
I loved this! It's orignal and very funny. Keep it up!
When I was in grade eight, I was taking an advanced language arts class. The only problem with the class was that the teacher was a complete idiot... so much that we were able to take advantage of him in almost any sitation. My friend didn't turn in one ounce of home work - not even essays - and he passed the class.

"Liam, where's your essay? I don't have it."
"I swear Mr. L, I turned it into you. I sat it right THERE *points to spot on desk* two days ago. You must have got it mixed up with your other class papers... that's okay."
"Oh... you know what, you're probably right. I've been quite unorganized lately... hmm. What do you think your grade would have been?"
"Well... it wasn't perfect, but I didn't follow directions. I'd say about an A- at best."
"Well, I'll just give you 95 then (out of 100)"
"Sounds cool."
And that happened about fifteen times. For him.
Don't even get me started with the rest of our excuses. If he ever figured out that we were pretty much screwing him over, he never gave any sign of it.
I really liked this. Though the continuity was a bit odd. This should be in a narrative poem. LOL Just sayin'. Anyway, this isn't really much of a review. I just saw this on my reading list, 'cause I was really interested in the title but didn't have the chance to read this. So yeah... off-topic.
I'm going to say that, the story's nice. I like the "umm" and informality of it. This is actually hilarious too. Thinking about it really happened? L-O-L. Nice job, WP. =)
Ha ha ha, I love this poem. You say this really happened??? Love it. Really well written and wonderfully funny. Great job!
Keep writing,

Hello!
Haha, absolutely wonderful. I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting it to genuinely make me laugh. One thing I really liked was the fact that the poem is very personal and written like dialogue, which serves to make it much funnier - if you'd made it more generalised then the idea wouldn't have worked so well.
I think that, perhaps, you could use italics a little less. But that's a tiny thing, just a small annoyance that I have. xD
Nothing else really to say - you wrote a comical poem that made me laugh. Thanks!
-Amy
It was epic!
Both the humour and the technique are there! Since this is like a comical poem, I'm not gonna be critical with things and mention unnecessary comments (I think). And so, I've only one nitpick:
- You forgot to put 'way' after 'my'. Hehe xD.
Anyway, this is my first (and maybe, only
Loved it, very cute and very quirky. Quite original as well. The end was great. Keep up the good work.
Hi!
Its reviewing sunday, yay!
So I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your writing. Your very creative and I adore you for that.
I hope to read more things like this from you.
Thank you for posting it!
This made me giggle, I really enjoyed it.
It was different and the structure worked well with the flow the poem.
I also liked the imagery it gave and found it simplistic yet detailed. If that made sense.
I especially liked:
It made me smile.
Overall a great piece of poetry.
I look forward to reading more like it.
Well done!
Haha I liked it!
Wonderful. Simply wonderful. I loved it!
I really do like this a lot! It's fabulous, really. I'll admit that it made me giggle all the way through it, and then getting to the end made me smile. I'm not sure if you would want to add onto the end, the couple lined stanza at the bottom doesn't really seem to fit as well with the rest of the poem...just a though. Please, keep writing!
I like it. It was different but good.
